Famagusta water board signs contracts to repair network damage

On Thursday, the Famagusta District Self-Government Organization (EOA) signed contracts to repair damage in the water supply network across the municipalities of Paralimni-Deryneia and Ayia Napa. The construction firm L&L Earthworks Contractors Ltd was awarded both contracts. Each contract is valued at €972,850 plus VAT, with a duration of 24 months or until the budget is exhausted. The project involves excavation and road restoration to fix leaks, with an estimated target of over 3,000 repairs. EOA President Giannis Karousos and company representative Lambros Lambrou signed the agreement. According to the EOA, current water loss in the region is approximately 36%. The initiative aims to reduce these losses and improve the overall reliability of the water infrastructure.
