Choose4Cyprus platform returns for the 2026 legislative elections

The DigiPols research lab at the Cyprus University of Technology (CUT) has relaunched the digital voting advice application 'Choose4Cyprus' ahead of the parliamentary elections on May 24, 2026. The platform allows voters to compare their personal policy positions with those of political parties by answering 24 questions covering various public policy issues. Dr. Vicky Trigka, associate professor and dean at the university, stated the tool aims to shift focus back to substantive political programs rather than superficial discourse on scandals or candidate images. Parties provided input for the coding of their positions where applicable, though the project remains an independent academic initiative. Use of the platform is free, anonymous, and intended solely for research purposes, with no links to political parties or commercial entities. During the 2023 presidential elections, the tool reached approximately 5% of the electorate, or over 25,000 users. The current iteration has already attracted thousands of users in its first 48 hours of operation.
