TEPAK launches Choose4Cyprus voter advice application

The DigiPols research lab at the Cyprus University of Technology (TEPAK) has relaunched the 'Choose4Cyprus' online voting advice application ahead of the legislative elections on May 24. This non-profit, academic platform allows citizens to compare their political views with those of political parties by answering 24 questions on critical public policy issues. The application calculates the level of alignment between the user's responses and the platforms of the parties. Researchers specializing in the Cypriot political landscape encoded the party positions with the assistance of those parties that chose to participate. The initiative is strictly academic and is not affiliated with any political party, movement, or business entity. All user data is collected anonymously and will be used exclusively for academic research and analysis. The developers state that the tool aims to provide information to voters rather than influence their electoral choices.
