APOEL wins Allwyn Water Polo Cup to secure seasonal treble
APOEL secured a 12-11 victory over the Larnaca Nautical Club in the Allwyn Water Polo Cup final held at the Larnaca Olympic Pool. With this win, APOEL achieved a seasonal treble, having already won the Super Cup and the league championship. This victory marks APOEL's seventh cup title overall, with previous wins in 2018, 2019, 2020, 2021, 2023, and 2025. To reach the final, APOEL defeated the Mesa Geitonia Nautical Club (26-4) in the qualifiers and the Nicosia Nautical Club (17-9) in the semi-finals. Conversely, the Larnaca Nautical Club, which has not won the trophy since 2008, suffered its ninth unsuccessful attempt to end its drought after defeating the Famagusta and Limassol Nautical Clubs in earlier rounds. The match was officiated by referees Nikolaos Boudramis and Giannis Soulos, and attended by national team coach Giannis Frangos.
