Marios Argyridis to seek re-election as Omonia club president

Omonia club president Marios Argyridis officially announced his intention to seek re-election for the club's presidency during an event held on May 14, 2026. The announcement followed the conclusion of the season for all club departments. Argyridis confirmed that he will run with his own dedicated ticket. He is also currently a candidate for the parliamentary elections representing the AKEL party. Despite his political campaign, Argyridis stated that his decision to run for the club's presidency is final. He emphasized that the outcome of the parliamentary elections will not affect his candidacy for Omonia. The club elections are scheduled to take place in June 2026.
