President Christodoulides to visit India for IMEC corridor discussions
President of the Republic of Cyprus Nikos Christodoulides will visit India from May 20 to May 23. The primary objective of the trip is to strengthen bilateral relations and discuss the India-Middle East-Europe Economic Corridor (IMEC). Government Spokesman Konstantinos Letymbiotis stated that the President will be accompanied by relevant ministers and a business delegation. Cyprus aims to position itself as a key diplomatic and political gateway for the IMEC project. The government describes the corridor as an ambitious design in which Cyprus intends to play a catalytic role alongside other Mediterranean states. Recent internal decisions and infrastructure projects in Cyprus are aligned with these strategic goals to facilitate the corridor's implementation.
