Cyprus road freight transport statistics for 2025
According to the Statistical Service of Cyprus (Cystat), road freight activity showed growth in 2025. In the fourth quarter, the weight of goods transported domestically increased by 19.4% year-on-year, rising from 9,145.6 thousand tons to 10,920.1 thousand tons. Cross-border freight movements grew by 14.2% during the same three-month period. Over the full year, domestic road transport rose by 4.8% compared to 2024. International transport volumes to and from Cyprus recorded an annual increase of 10.0%. These figures reflect a strong performance in the logistics sector, with an acceleration of activity noted in the final quarter. The data highlights a sustained upward trend throughout the 2025 calendar year.
