Heated political exchange between Akel and Elam representatives on Alpha TV

During a televised panel on Alpha TV on Friday, a verbal confrontation occurred between Akel MP Georgios Loukaides and Elam representative Evgenios Chamboullas. The exchange took place during a multi-party debate ahead of the upcoming parliamentary elections. Loukaides accused Elam of maintaining links to the disbanded Greek party Golden Dawn and labeled the party's leadership as Nazi. Chamboullas countered by referencing the Soviet-era Holodomor famine to criticize communist ideology. Furthermore, Chamboullas accused Akel of representing Turkish interests in Cyprus regarding reunification talks. In response, Loukaides stated that fascism would not pass, while Chamboullas characterized Loukaides as a red fascist.
