Olympiakos survives relegation battle in Cypriot football

In the final round of the Cypriot league's play-out stage, Olympiakos secured their place in the top flight by defeating Anorthosis with a goal in the 90th minute. Entering the day, Olympiakos needed to match or exceed the result of Akritas Chlorakas to avoid relegation. Akritas, playing simultaneously at the Stelios Kyriakides stadium, lost to AEL Limassol.
