Olympiakos secures stay in top tier following match against Anorthosis
Olympiakos coach Marios Christofi confirmed his team's retention in the Cyprus League's first division following a recent match against Anorthosis. The fixture took place during the 7th round of the second phase (play-out) of the championship. Christofi acknowledged a difficult week leading up to the game and noted that his players were initially distracted by the score of a concurrent match. Despite a lackluster first half, the team improved their performance in the second half and managed to score, successfully securing their spot in the league. The coach praised his players, the technical staff, and the board for their efforts. He also extended congratulations to Anorthosis for their professional conduct and expressed respect for their coach, Mauro Camoranesi. Christofi, who has worked in football for 35 years, stated he accepted the coaching challenge upon the board's request.
