Cyprus University of Technology unveils new student housing project in Limassol
The Cyprus University of Technology (CUT) has unveiled a prototype room for its new student housing project located at the former Verengaria site in Pano Polemidia, Limassol. This initiative represents the largest infrastructure project in the university's history, featuring a total capacity of 500 rooms. The development will be completed in two phases, with the first 150 rooms scheduled to open in September 2026 and the remaining 350 units expected by September 2027. Each unit will be fully furnished, including a refrigerator, electric stove, oven, bed, and desk. The monthly social rent is set at 350 euros, covering utilities such as water, electricity, internet, and cleaning services for common areas. Priority for housing will be given to first-year undergraduate students residing more than 25 kilometers away from Limassol, guaranteeing them a room for at least one academic year without the need for a scoring system. This project aims to address the significant housing shortages and high rental costs currently affecting students in Limassol.
