Restaurant fire at Limassol Fishing Shelter leaves one injured

On Friday, May 15, at approximately 12:15, a fire broke out in the kitchen of a restaurant located at the Fishing Shelter in Limassol. The Fire Service reported that the blaze originated in an oil fryer due to overheating. Firefighters arrived at the scene with two fire engines and utilized extinguishers and foam to control the fire. The incident resulted in significant damage to the restaurant's kitchen equipment. One employee sustained burns while attempting to extinguish the flames. The individual was transported to a private hospital for medical treatment. The Fire Service noted that this was one of 52 incidents they responded to over the preceding 24 hours.
