Partizan Belgrade player Carlik Jones convicted of assault

A Belgrade court has sentenced Partizan basketball player Carlik Jones to an eight-month suspended prison sentence with a two-year probation period. The conviction follows charges of causing grievous bodily harm after an incident involving physical violence that occurred one year ago. Two other Partizan players, Sterling Brown and Isaac Bonga, were also involved in the altercation. The players involved claimed they were victims of a prior physical and racist attack, which led to their reaction. Both Brown and Bonga reached a settlement with the victim regarding the legal proceedings against them. As part of these settlements, Sterling Brown is required to pay 2,500 euros, while Isaac Bonga must pay 1,600 euros. The court proceedings concluded with these specific legal outcomes for the three athletes.
