Apollon Limassol volleyball updates: youth championship victory and new head coach appointment

The Apollon Limassol girls' volleyball team, coached by Dimitris Dimitriou, won the 2026 Cyprus championship. The team achieved this title undefeated and without conceding a single set throughout the entire tournament. In a separate development, the Apollon Limassol women's volleyball team has appointed Charalambos Mytsikidis as their new head coach. Mytsikidis brings extensive experience to the role, having previously coached at ZAON Kifissias, where he reached the Greek league final against Panathinaikos. His professional background also includes a seven-year tenure at Apollon Kalamatas and three years as an assistant coach for the Greek national team. The club board expressed confidence that his expertise aligns with the high goals set for the team's new chapter.
