DIPA leader Marios Karoyan addresses election prospects and polling accuracy
Marios Karoyan, President of the Democratic Alignment (DIPA) party, has publicly expressed confidence that his party will secure a seat in the upcoming parliamentary elections. Speaking to media outlets RIK and 'Mesimeri kai Kati', Karoyan emphasized that DIPA has delivered significant work over the past five years despite its size. He rejected current polling data, which suggests his party is struggling to reach the threshold for parliamentary entry, by citing historical discrepancies where previous polls underestimated DIPA's actual election results. Karoyan criticized the current polling framework and proposed a post-election review among all political parties to address issues of transparency and potential conflicts of interest. He also highlighted a recent campaign rally that attracted over 1,000 attendees as evidence of the party's true grassroots support. Finally, he urged citizens to vote with responsibility rather than anger, warning against further political experimentation in Cyprus.
