First dog park opens in Latsia-Geri municipality

The municipality of Latsia-Geri has opened its first public dog park, financed entirely by municipal funds at a cost of €80,000. Situated on the border between Latsia-Geri and South Nicosia-Idalion, the facility is designed to serve residents from both municipalities. It operates daily from 7:00 am until evening and is partitioned into two distinct zones based on weight: one for dogs under 10kg and another for those over 10kg. Amenities provided include pet play equipment, waste bins, waste bags, and an adjacent temporary parking lot with a 50-car capacity. Mayor Christos Pittaras confirmed that the municipality is currently planning to construct a second, similar park specifically within the Geri municipal district. This infrastructure development aims to provide a dedicated, organized environment for pet owners in the region.
