AEK Athens crowned league champions as Olympiacos Nicosia plans for the future

AEK Athens officially celebrated their 2025-26 Greek league title with a ceremony at the Allwyn Arena on May 17, following a 1-1 draw against Olympiacos. Manager Marko Nikolic is already planning for next season, targeting at least four new signings to strengthen the defense, midfield, and wings. Meanwhile, Olympiacos Nicosia has scheduled an electoral General Assembly for May 28 to appoint a new Board of Directors. President Kostas Serafeim confirmed that the club is in exploratory talks with foreign investors to secure financial stability after narrowly avoiding relegation. Olympiacos is also evaluating its roster, with several players under contract while others face potential exits. Currently, 24 out of 36 teams have secured their spots for the upcoming UEFA Champions League season.
