Bulgaria wins the 70th Eurovision song contest

On May 17, 2026, Bulgaria won the 70th Eurovision Song Contest held at the Wiener Stadthalle in Vienna, Austria, marking the country's first victory in the event's history. The artist Dara performed the song 'Bangaranga', securing the top position with a total of 516 points. Israel finished in second place, followed by Romania in third. The top ten also included Australia, Italy, Finland, Denmark, Moldova, and Ukraine, while Akylas representing Greece finished 10th with 220 points. Antigoni Buxton, representing Cyprus, placed 19th with 75 points. A total of 25 countries competed in the final.
